Meet the Therapists
John Holt, MA, EdS, LPA, LPC
John has a Masters Degree in clinical psychology and an Education Specialist Degree in school psychology. He is licensed in North Carolina as a Psychological Associate and Clinical Mental Health Counselor. John is also a Nationally Certified Psychologist and Board Certified Clinical Psychotherapist.
After four years as a school psychologist in Memphis, Tennessee he moved to North Carolina where he has been in private practice since 1988. John works with older adolescents and adults.
He has extensive experience in helping clients having a broad range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, adjustment problems, and trauma, as well as interpersonal, marital and partner issues. John also has many years experience in successfully and specifically helping helping educators (teachers, school support staff and administrators) as they navigate professional and personal concerns. He also has expertise in psychological assessments.
John is the Executive Director of Cornerstone.
Rob Harmon, MA, LPA
Rob holds a Masters Degree in clinical psychology and is a Licensed Psychological Associate and Health Services Provider-PA.
He specializes in evaluation and working with young children to address academic, developmental and behavioral issues. Rob has significant experience and expertise in psychological evaluations for custody issues and assessment of learning disorders and ADHD.
Rob also has significant experience in marital, premarital and faith-based counseling, plus therapy for mood and eating disorders.
Debi Pruitt, LPCA
Debi has a Masters Degree in Professional Counseling and a Masters Degree in Education. She is licensed in North Carolina as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate. Debi is also one of the few credentialed Sandtray therapists in the world, holding the title of Internationally Certified Sandtray Therapist (ICST).
After years as an art teacher, then as an English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher, Debi retired from teaching to move from Wilmington to High Point in order to pursue Counseling full time. Debi works with children (6+), adolescents, and adults. She incorporates Sandtray therapy, art therapy, play therapy, and solution-based therapies into her work.
As a retired educator with over 16 years in the classroom, Debi well understands the challenges of the educational system for both staff and students, as no one understands those challenges better than someone who has been there. Debi can help you set healthy boundaries and learn to balance your responsibilities with your well being. She can help you establish a safe place to address concerns so you can thrive without anxiety and stress.
In addition, Debi has a particular interest in helping trauma and stressor-related survivors, as well as people who have anxiety (Generalized Anxiety, Phobias & Panic, and Social Anxiety). Debi also enjoys working with individuals with Neurodevelopmental Disorders.
Randy Readling, MD
Randy practices general psychiatry with adolescents and adults. Randy works part-time at Cornerstone and is currently not taking any new patients.
